Ensuring the interests of business events in the UK are effectively represented, understood and communicated to Government across our five pillars to unlock the industry's full potential as one of the biggest engines of growth in the economy.
We do this by seeking support to make the UK the world’s meeting place by creating a ‘Business Events UK’ strategic delivery body for the industry, upweighting a ministerial advocacy programme and investing in venue infrastructure as well as increasing BID funding to attract major international business events to to the UK.
In partnership with the Government we want to support international trade strategies that recognise, leverage and support the UK Business Events sector, encouraging inbound investment and outbound trade and incentivising business events.
We believe we can lead the world in sustainable events by creating a sustainable event strategy and best practice for the UK; with an ambition for the UK government to be the global champion for sustainable Business Events in the UK through measures such as a tax incentive framework to support sustainable events.
The EIA aims to boost and protect the skills and talent provision of the industry through the promotion of careers in the sector and encouraging an inclusive, diverse and dynamic workforce and establishing support for the creation of an independent Event Skills Body.
